March Favorites (Plus Some special news!)

Favorite Songs Of The Month:

Silver springs (1997 live version) – Fleetwood Mac, now we all collectively know that this is because it started trending on TikTok. Always was a fan of the band before, even went to see them in concert a few years back at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. (great concert, by the way). But this song and this version of it was on repeat this whole month and I can’t say that I ever tired of listening to it because of the emotion in Stevie Nicks’s voice towards the end of the song.

Eat Your Young – Hozier, Love Hozier (obviously with having two songs listed for this month). This song released in mid-march and I caught snippets of it before it released (again on TikTok, which is my personal reason. I really don’t want TikTok to be banned because this is how I learn about new songs). And just this song has been just an inspiration for my writing as of recently.

Would That I – Hozier, listened to this song on repeat this month whenever I was writing. Because it’s really inspired me as I work on my projects.

We Found Love – Rhianna, another one that I’ve actually been listening to on and off since February. (this time we have to blame the super bowl). totally reintroduced me to my love for rhianna. Listening to all her top hits back to back during super bowl took me back to my time of being in Junior high and listening to her songs on repeat on my little iPod back in the day.

Fiction Book Of The Month:

Didn’t do that much reading this month, because I started doing evening rewatch of Friends since I got a VPN to watch it on Netflix. But I started reading the 4th book in Nikki St. Crowe’s Peter Pan retelling, The Fae Princes. Very dark retelling and, of course, filled with smut (because like duh). Love the series and love her writing, totally recommend if you like to read retellings.

non-fiction book of the month:

there is no non-fiction book of the month that I read, too busy rewatch friends in the evenings.

Random Favorites & A Special Announcement!:

HB90 Course, by Sara Cannon. I bought it as a deal when I purchased the Publish & Thrive Course. I just finished it up. And as a little spoiler for you guys since I believe I already told you my 2/3 goals: Post on social media more & create a 3k weekly writing habit.

I’ve also decided to go from being exclusive with amazon with my books, as my 3rd goal for the HB90 course I’ve decided that from April-June I’ll be working on taking my books through wide distribution. Which means you will be able to read my books more than just through amazon. I figure that is the best change to get more eyes on my work and I’ll be able to actually have some things up for free everywhere for you guys to check out as well! By the end of April, I will have published my two books in the Learning To Love Again Series through wide distribution, and they will be available through Kindle Unlimited, Kobo, Apple Books, Google Play and other sites. I’ll be sharing the links for that, more so coming May when everything has shifted and I’ve put everything up on the other sites. (as well as through library distribution as well so you guys could check out my books if you have the Libby app at your local library!)

Purchasing the Freewrite Traveler: If you haven’t seen me post about my big purchase for the month of march. It was a refurbished version of the Freewrite Traveler through eBay, so I didn’t have to pay the big ticket price through the Astrohaus website to get it. I’ve been using it throughout the month to keep myself distraction-free and it’s really helped my writing progress more with a higher word count. Because they have a functionality of being able to do word sprints on the device.

March word count for the month: 5,605. which I attribute to when I purchased the Freewrite Traveler at the beginning of the month because I only used that throughout the month to write to see if I could write more than I do while writing on my laptop.

News Of The Month: (new little segment I thought I would throw in here)

My dog stella, again if you don’t follow me on Instagram. She was having some bad limping the previous month after a minor accident with my other dog Zoey, who accidentally ran full speed at Stella and knocked her down (because Zoey was trying to play with her). Resulting in her actually having a torn ACL. At the beginning of March she went in for surgery, which was over the course of a few days at the vet. And through extensive recovery over the past month, she’s improving. Even feeling good enough to jump back up on everyone’s beds to cuddle (despite the vet’s orders, she didn’t want to listen to him). She still had another checkup scheduled in May to see how everything is healing to make sure she makes a full recovery. But I’m very glad that she’s feeling better enough to jump up and give everyone cuddles. And when we went to spend spring break out at a beach for a few days, she wanted to run down the stand (despite her just being a week post-surgery). I’m just glad my old gal is feeling more like herself again. I’ll definitely be sure to give you guys updated on her progress if you are interested. I even have. a few photos below of her with her little inflated cone and her nice little shave that she got for the surgery.
